On our way to San Francisco next week! Wish I could make Memphis! Hermes reminds me of the saying:
ReplyDelete(you are probably too young to have heard it)!
"God looked at him; and said... "You! You get it all"!!!
That is what happened!
Penelope, Hermes is as talented as he is charming. I would like to enlist on one of his Friends of John Soane trips to Cuba.
DeleteCary and Hermes live not too far from me, in a wonderful house right on the Hudson River, and have written 3 books between them. They have book signings at Stair Galleries which are always a lot of fun. Their house, Chiddingstone, is featured in Carey's book, STUFF, which is a bestseller. There's a lot of talent in those two! And they are a couple of great guys that I feel privileged to know.
ReplyDeleteCynthia, Hermes told me a bit about the house and his friends at Stair. Hermes is quite fun and we hope to get Carey to come talk about STUFF and have Hermes come, too.
DeleteFor the record, Hermes gave a great talk and was a big hit. A lot of books were sold and signed, an accurate sign of an appreciative audience. For any organizations looking for a speaker, this a a very good and current topic in an attractive and enjoyable presentation.
